Renew has managed this project with great energy and commitment, we feel very fortunate to be part of this exiting initiative for a new creative community in this part of Melbourne.
Securing a tenancy as part of the Renew programme has allowed my business to grow organically in an inspiring space surrounded by other like-minded creative enterprises.
Having the opportunity to function as a retail space, factory and showroom as part of the Docklands Art Collective has allowed Dodgy Paper to grow and has opened many creative doors to inspire and spark the imagination of visitors and followers.
The Renew project allowed me to not only get back into the workforce whilst raising my kids but also enabled me to pursue a dream I thought was out of my reach!
Being part of the Docklands Art Collective has allowed me to expand my practice and level of participation in the local art scene. It has helped foster the voices of a number of artists and their creative development.
We at The Lifted Brow found the whole program hugely valuable. As an under-resourced organisation, the space and time that this initiative gave us allowed us to focus on the work, rather than on survival strategies, and we also found great solace in the community that formed of other Docklands Spaces participants.
Our time with Renew Australia was paramount to the success of our business. It gave us a great hub location where we could congregate and work out of.
The pogramme is awesome! Repurposing and activating these old buildings and providing small business with workshops and spaces to operate from is an excellent way of utilising these great buildings. The support is fantastic and hugely appreciated!
Renew Australia/Jack’s Magazine have created a brilliant platform for emerging artists. I am forever grateful for what they have done for me as an artist. They have been extremely supportive from day one and I think I am very lucky to be apart of the Jack’s Magazine program.
